Low voltage installations include grounding, lightning protection, power supply, power distribution (electrical panels) , power and lighting installations. A typical low voltage design includes:
- Selection of the equipotential grounding system and protection like foundation grounding, triangle grounding rods, grounding electrode rod or late or ‘E’, or a combination of the above, depending on the soil type, the existence of substation 20kV / 400V, the use of the building, etc..
- Risk assessment and selected the lightning protection measures
- Selection of energy supply sources, substations 20kV / 400V, direct LV connections, diesel power generators generating sets, UPS systems, photovoltaic systems, or a combination of the above, depending on the absorbed power of the system, the use of the project and the limitations set by the public electricity provider.
- Lighting installations (interior and exterior spaces, highlighting faces, tunnels and roads, sports facilities, large public gathering spaces, theaters, etc.), and luminaries selection (in collaboration with the architects) taking into account the energy consumption, the luminous efficacy, and the decorative requirements
- Detailed lighting calculations with specialized software.
- Power distribution for sockets and electrical motors
- Calculation of cables and circuits
- Providing of detailed switchboard wiring diagrams, containing all the necessary information materials and automation required by the manufacturer
- Providing detailed drawings , including cable trays in 3D, containing all the necessary information necessary for implementation
